It doesn’t matter if you live in Djibouti (where it’s hot when you hurt) or Russia (where it’s cold…).
Back pain happens.
Just like it’s been happening to us for hundreds of thousands of years.
However, what is a relatively new phenomenon is chronic pain and disability.
And that is a “First World” problem. It also appears as countries healthcare systems become more… modern.
So much so that some believe it’s an iatrogenic (“doctor induced”) disease.
One example is the United States. Here back pain is big business and we prescribe more pills, do more injections and perform more surgeries than ANYWHERE else in the world…
Yet our outcomes when it comes to back pain are no better, possibly even worse, than other countries.
What our results are with back pain and why that may be are the topic of this episode of Straight Shot Health Talk.
Also, do you or a family member have back pain? If so, please answer the short survey below.
